On Tuesday 8th April, the first ever Fusion Fest took place in London. Hosted by The Economist Impact, the event brought together over 400 in-person attendees and over 60 speakers to showcase the importance of fusion energy to the global economy.
Attendees heard from key speakers including Kerry McCarthy, Minister for Climate, Professor Sir Ian Chapman, Chief Executive at the UK Atomic Energy Authority, Chris Martin, Chairman and Non-Executive Director at Tokamak Energy and David Gann, Chair at UK Industrial Fusion Solutions.
Topics discussed during the Conference included fusion’s role in the global energy mix, the role of AI in delivering fusion energy, regulatory frameworks and investment strategies for fusion.
