
On Monday 15th December, the Fusion Energy APPG hosted its Christmas Reception in Parliament, bringing together senior policymakers, industry and Parliamentarians to celebrate developments in fusion in 2025. It was a wonderful event and thank you to everyone for joining.

- Valerie Jamieson, Development Manager, Fusion Cluster
The reception was opened by Jo White MP who spoke about the role of the APPG in championing fusion energy in Parliament. George Freeman MP spoke about the importance of the UK capitalising on its global leadership in fusion and Tim Bestwick provided an update on the UKAEA’s work and priorities. Olly Glover MP spoke about the role of Culham Campus in the broader R&D ecosystem, and Valerie Jamieson highlighted the growing breadth and strength of fusion companies across the UK.
