On Monday 15th September 2025, the Fusion Energy APPG hosted its Annual General Meeting.
James Naish MP was re-elected as Chair of the APPG, with Jo White MP, George Freeman MP and Lord Ravensdale also re-elected as Officers of the Group.
During the meeting, the Group’s income & expenditure statement, the due diligence statement and Annual Report from 2024/2025 were approved.
Following the AGM, there was a STEP Fusion drop-in session for Parliamentarians to speak with the STEP Fusion team about the UK’s prototype fusion energy powerplant programme. The project aims to make fusion energy commercially viable and put the East Midlands at the forefront of energy innovation. Earlier this year, the Government announced record investment in fusion research, with extra support for STEP Fusion.
Thank you to all attendees for coming.
